Financial literacy for every person

I’m Miriam  Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY, and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money

M Financial literacy is a requirement for every person.  Biblically we are each stewards and accountable to God for all He’s loaned us.  Here are five simple components:  earning, saving and investing, spending, borrowing, and protecting.  The Bible addresses each of these:

V       Work to earn

Save and invest to provide for your needs

Spend based on wise decisions

Borrow rarely and only for certain necessities

Protect what you have

We address each of those in our Wise Women Managing Money video at widowconnection.com.  The principles apply for women and men.

Start simply. Be productive and earn.  Then save and invest to provide for your needs.  Proverbs 13:11  ‘whoever gathers little by little makes it grow.’

Spend less than what you earn.
