True leadership

We hunger to see leaders who are true leaders. Courageous and servant hearted at the same time. Deborah whose story is told in Judges 4 and 5 shows us true leadership. She was a prophet who held court as a judge under the Palm of Deborah settling disputes. She also delivered God’s word to His people.
Instruction: Barak, take an army against Sisera. Barak’s answer, I won’t go unless you go with me. Barak lacked courage, Deborah did not.
A leader without courage is not a leader. Deborah mounted up and led the army. Barak would not get the usual glory. God said Sisera would be killed by a woman, which is what happened. Titles do not make a leader. Courage does.
