As Thanksgiving day approaches, all are not joyfully planning a happy turkey day with family.  Disagreements, loss, hard stuff surface in families at holiday time.  I’m leaning into Scripture to guide me to and through the day honoring God.  Goal, promote peace and build up each person I share the day with.

 

First, I see each person as God created, one He loves, wishes to redeem.  One who can bless and embrace Him.  I see that person through his eyes.  This is not a day for correction, for division, its a   Romans 14:19 day.

Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.

 

I can speak peace, build up, not tear down.

 

I can pray knowing God will answer.  It’s His will.
