Shoulders

It has been said that you are only as tall as the shoulders you stand on and only as strong as the shoulders you cry on. Both used to be my 6 foot 3 inch husband Bob. He’s in heaven now and has a replacement. Let me introduce you to my new husband: In Isaiah 54: 5 God makes this promise to widows.
5 For your Maker is your husband—
the Lord Almighty is his name—
the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer;
he is called the God of all the earth.
That’s good news! My challenges are no smaller whether with family, ministry in Africa, or just daily living. But the shoulders I stand on could be no taller, and those I cry on no stronger than His.
