Romans 1

Our
Bible teacher challenged us to write our Romans 1 paragraph. I poured over
the Apostle Paul’s words taking note of two stand out facts.

He knew
who he was: a willing bond servant of Jesus embracing all that Jesus is and
was.

He knew
his task: to bring the gospel to the Gentiles.

Reading
the letters he wrote to the churches he visited, he did just that with zeal,
focus, and great sacrifice.

He could
have decided to spend his time apologizing to all he had wronged as a zealous
jew persecuting Christians.

He could
have tried to straighten out the Pharisees and Saducees. But God had not called him to that.

I have
written my Romans 1 paragraph. God’s
daughter with a clear mission.
