Race and unity

Race does not unite a people.  Great world wars have pitted people of like color against each other.  Conflict in Africa is often people of like color in conflict with each other.

 

The African American Museum in our capitol opened without acknowledging one of our countries greatest achievements for a man of color:  Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.  He has since been included.  But that division showed that divisions of political correctness prevailed over unity of color.

 

Read the book of Acts and take note of the radical diversity of those first people who proclaimed the Gospel to both Jew and Gentile.  They were back and white, Jew and Gentile, courageous, hard scrabble people who united in one cause.  Promoting the gospel of God’s redemption of all through Jesus.
