M Markets up, markets down. Hope rises, hope falls. Most Americans hold some stake in the stock markets. How fickle those investments are. That’s true of all this world’s treasures. “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.” Matthew 6:19
V Stock markets, mutual, and hedge funds have mostly replaced traditional investments. But greed and theft have not changed. Yes, we need to be good stewards and provide for our families. But our best deposit is in heaven: our personal relationship with Jesus. Add to that acts and life choices that honor him. With each Christ-like act our heavenly deposit grows. Never to tank.
