Listen

We are quick to form opinions–before we know the big picture.  Proverbs 18: 17  The first to present his case seems right, till another comes forward and questions him.”

I sat on a jury.  The first argument was convincing.  And then I heard the other side.  Someone informs you of your child’s misbehavior.  Wait.  Listen to your child’s version before letting justice roll down.  Verse 13.  ‘He who answers before listening–that is his folly and his shame.”

As a vintage person, I can tell you that to listen before judging is a life long challenge. However, listening is the source of great wisdom and patience.

Imagine Jesus.  He knew everything, behavior, motive, and intent.  And yet He listened.  A perfect example for us all.
