Holiday relationships

Holiday celebrations are past, but memories linger and not all of them good.  I’m thanking God for our celebrations, growing family connections, more bumps up than down.  But you might be one who has been severely wounded by words and actions during and even after connecting with family.

Thankfully Scripture is full of stories that help us sort through our hurts today.  The prodigal son, Luke 15. Cain and Abel, Genesis 4 to name just a few.

Let time dim the memory.  Sort what you must, pray, and reserve comment or action for more than weeks.  Time does not heal all wounds, but it offers perspective.

Be willing to wait and let relational space be long, even permanent.  God is your healer and embraces you.  That is enough.
