M God not only cares that you work. He cares HOW you work. Proverbs 11: 1 gives instruction. A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but an accurate weight is his delight. Your work may not involve weights. But the principle is, “Be fair.” A highway collapsed because the builder used an inferior product.
V The Titanic sunk partly because inferior rivets were used. These consequences are tragic. But if there’s no observable consequence, God knows. a modern day interpretation of “honest scales” would be an admirable days work for an honest days pay. That means showing up on time and working hard, and pay coming on time as well.
M No profit, wrongly gained brings joy like a clear conscience.
