M When family members even entire families move back with Mom and Dad or just Mom as is more common, why insist that everyone contribute? Because II Thessalonians says every person should work and earn their own living. But what if financial stress has caused the move?
V ‘Contribute’ can mean money. But jobs are lost, college graduates don’t always start with that great job. So think about this. That household has cleaning tasks, upkeep, errand running and more. Work together on a savings plan toward independence. Set deadlines and hold each other accountable.
M That unemployed member can volunteer and be productive in places that may lead to a job. And remember, grace and mercy will be needed in large measures.
