Diversity

Why do we resist diversity– in our friendships, those who advise us, where we go for entertainment, the list is long.

I’ve thought about this being President Lincoln’s birthday, and this being Black History month.  To surround ourselves with others not like us is an indication of profound self confidence in the good way.  Not pride, simply assurance that we know who we are and why we’re here.

Much is accomplished when diverse people and groups unite in a common cause. Lincoln once stated, “Of strange, discordant, and even, hostile elements, we gathered from the four winds, and formed and fought the battle through.”

Revelation 7:9 says heaven will be filled with multitudes from every tribe and nation.  Let’s be ready for that party.
