Change and wardrobe

Change requires a different wardrobe.  I rummaged through closets seeing things I no longer wear.  Its not just fashion, its size and comfort.  What fits my life today?

I travel light to Africa and Albania, only modest comfort required. My spiritual wardrobe has changed.  What I thought I needed before for safety and comfort, I’ve thrown off.  Bold sense of mission requires that I wear Ephesians 6.  My shield of faith in place. Its Gods day, not mine. Helmet of salvation: todays challenges are temporary.  Only Heaven is guaranteed.

That widow in the remote village who needs to hear of God’s love means I think less about my sturdy sandals and more about shoes that make me ready to proclaim the gospel of peace.

Fact is my wardrobe has shrunk  but grown in what really matters for today.
