Work well Sluggard # 4 providing for yourself and family

I’m Miriam  Neff with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY, and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, lets talk about money.

M  Families are advised to provide for their own.  That means  families, couples, and adult children.  Scripture does not advise being forever provided for by others.

V Short periods of adversity, help is needed for sure.  But not a long term plan.  Proverbs 19:24  ‘A sluggard buries his hand in the dish; he will not even bring it back to his mouth!’  The lazy person wants food, but does nothing to feed himself, or herself.  Proverbs 26: 15 repeats this. The person who refuses to work, should not be fed.

M  God created us to work, be productive.  That satisfies our soul and provides for ourself and others.  Wisdom for sure.
