Women and finances

I’m Miriam  Neff with Wise Women Managing Money-and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan

M Research shows that women are becoming increasingly powerful in our economy controlling wealth, often earning more than their spouses, and making more retirement decisions.  In 8 of 10 marriages, women outlive their spouses meaning more widows direct family resources than widowers, regardless of value.

V Research shows that many lack confidence in their ability to make financial decisions.  We have good news.  We can learn.  If we can, anyone can.  Both men and women, young and vintage, have the same assignment–manage what God entrusts to you with wisdom.

M Like asking good cooks for recipes; ask financial advice from those who’ve done it right.  Get information from lots of sources. Being friend, family, or fellow believer does not qualify one to manage money well.  Research, pray, learn, and then act.
