Widows and poverty

M  Becoming a widow opened my eyes to the financial dilemma of women dealing with money on their own.  While some women are OK financially, many are not.  Some are in poverty.

80% of widows in poverty were not poor before their husbands died.

 

V We see two common problems.  Couples have not adequately prepared.   In 8 out of 10 marriages, women will survive their husbands.  Planning is not optional.  Its required in a loving marriage. I Timothy 5: 8 Provide for our families. Another problem is that women are not equipped and informed about managing money and living on what they have.
