What kind of peace do we want?

What kind of peace do we want this year? My wishes are clouded by personal inclinations and what I want. That’s the human Miriam, not the Christ follower.
I go to Abraham Lincoln’s words. He asked for ‘the Almighty Hand to heal the wounds of the nation and to restore it as soon as may be consistent with the Divine purposes to the full enjoyment of peace, harmony, tranquillity and Union.’
CONSISTENT WITH HIS DIVINE PURPOSES. His purposes, not mine. Are my wishes for my countries peace so that our nation can be a shining light on a hill, a city that cannot be hidden, for the benefit of God and His purposes?
That light means political justice, and prosperity for all creation. Personal wholeness, righteousness meaning right with God.
