What difference does repentance make?

Scripture has a clear contrast of two men who sinned.  One repented and one did not.  King Saul took credit for what God accomplished in His life.  He became pride filled, jealous enough to kill another who bested him.  King David committed adultery, counted people when God said not to, and was rash and impulsive.  He repented, King Saul did not.

Read the story of their lives in I and II Samuel.  God restored David though he continued an imperfect man.

We have an important choice.  To confess and repent, or hide and cover up.  We can choose to live in the shadow of our sin, or the bright light of God’s forgiveness, restoration and a future with freedom of conscience and peace.
