Veteran’s Day 2

Remembering
Veterans Day coming I challenge you, my friend, and myself to pray for God to
show us one thing we can do to encourage a veteran on that day.  Yes, they are all around us.  The vintage ones often wear a cap that tells
you how they served.  I’ve made it a
practice, when I see that, to thank that person for serving.  

It only
takes a few seconds. I have not served as they have, so I cannot fathom their
sacrifices.  My interruption in their
shopping or dining always bring a look of appreciation and sometimes even a
smile.  Can I affirm this with a
Scripture verse?  No.  But somehow, I believe Jesus would do just
that.  Like a cup of cold water,
appreciation counts.
