I’m Miriam Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY,-and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money
M What is the value of what we choose to spend money on? What are we getting for our dollar?
There are about 150 million hot dogs sold each year on the Fourth of July. Americans spend $2.3 billion on hot dogs annually. What is their nutrition value?
V Just the facts. A hot dog is about 200 calories of processed meet, often loaded with cholesterol- raising saturated fat and sodium. Some are better than others. Read their content. Splurge if you must. Our point is each purchase is a choice. Read the labels, know what you are getting, and not getting. Consider whether your purchase is, ‘everyone does.’ OR, ‘this is best for me.’
M It’s God’s dollar on loan to us.
