Unnamed people in Scripture 2

Why does Scripture reveal the names of some people in significant events in Scripture and not others?  The woman at the well was blessed to have had the longest conversation Jesus had with any person.  And she is unnamed.

The widow who gave two mites was commended by Jesus to his disciples and stated to be an example to all future generations of generosity.  And she is not named.

An abandoned slave told David where the kidnappers of his wives and clan were camping.  David was successful in their rescue.  And that slave is unnamed.

Our culture is obsessed with personal accolades and notoriety.  Scripture exists to show us God, to communicate Him.  People’s stories are the method.  It matters little that we do not know their names.  God does.
