I’m Miriam Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY, and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money
M What matters? I value work, having a job, supporting yourself and your family. Its biblical. But here’s a temptation: to value that source of income above valuing God first.
- In Acts 21 Paul visited Ephesus, a city where silversmithing idols to Artemis was a profitable business. Paul presenting the gospel brought people to worship our Lord, not Artemis. They needed no idols. Economic downturn resulted for the silversmith industry.
M Money is a powerful motivator. I don’t eat in restaurants with slot machines, nor visit casinos: my choice. Working and earning, good things. Being willing to compromise God first? Not an option.
