Transitions

Do you find yourself entering a transition stage with both opportunities and challenges? In my life, I’ve had MANY of those transition stages. Widowhood, more time to serve God. A new calling, opportunity to serve those who few see their real needs.
What are the challenges? I’m finding the evil one reminds me of not only past hurts in my life, but my own blunders.
If I allow my mind to ponder past hurts, people who’ve let me down, my mind is not pursuing God’s best for me. Wasted mental energy.
Paul, who was hurt by many stated, “Forgetting the past, I press on.” Imagine the rage his Jewish counterparts felt for him when he embraced Jesus!
So, my friend, close those doors in your mind. Throw off that temptation. God is calling you to serve Him in good ways.
