The power of small
May 6, 2022
Our culture is mesmerized by size. Big living spaces, big reputation, big social media imprint, big is good. But consider that God often called people to be leaders who were humble. Small in their own eyes. I Samuel 9: 21
God used small objects to accomplish big objectives. David rejected Saul’s oversized armor to go against Goliath. He chose a small stone instead. He chose small, he chose familiar, he was successful.
To be considered big, brings temptation. The once humble, Saul became conceited, threatened by others success. 1 Samuel 15:17 The prophet Samuel confronted him, “Although you were once small in your own eyes, did you not become the head of the tribes of Israel? The Lord anointed you king over Israel.
Beware the temptations of big.
