The freedom that truth brings.

We humans tend to stay in groups and with people when those relationships are harmful. People stayed in synagogues under corrupt self serving leaders, their place, denying Christ. What does Scripture say about that? John 8: 32. ‘You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’
People can know the truth and not act on it. Fearful of change, losing status, ‘friends.’ Truth says, you may go, you are free. Action required: move to that place of freedom, leave that toxic place of chaos, and downward spiral, that place where you have to look away from what bothers you.
That is ever the challenge of Christ followers. For some it is family, for some their workplace, for some a religious organization. Free of enabling prideful leaders. A free conscience before God. Priceless.
