The belt of truth.

On those days when we feel wobbly, and we all have some of those, Scripture tells us how to stand firm. Ephesians 6: 14  ‘Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist.’  Truth is a powerful belt.

In biblical times, ones flowing tunic could be tucked up in the belt so one could run freely, unhindered.

Today carpenters’ belts have all kinds of tools attached. That worker can work efficiently having what’s needed for different tasks. For some of us, our belt supports our phones: connection, information. and more.

A good belt is a secure belt, lots depends on it.  Truth is like that.  Firm, dependable, enabling us to do what He calls us to do.  Wearing the belt of truth, I stand firm.
