M With tax day deadline near, many are scrambling to get reports to their tax preparer or doing a deep dive on line to file for themselves. Its about more than numbers, our attitude matters.
V Jesus gives us direction. The Pharisees of the day questioned Him as to whether they should pay taxes. Jesus looked at the coin used to pay the tax and asked whose image was on it. “Caesar’s” they replied Matthew 22: 21. Jesus words “So give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”
M We are told to be cheerful givers to Kingdom purposes. We pay taxes as a duty. It’s an act of obedience.
