M Connecting with many widows through widowconnection.com, many share their hardships. Sadly some are due to their own poor decisions. One new widow with two teen aged children decided to upgrade all cars–because fuel costs were going up. The resulting costs took much of their life insurance and saved only a little on fuel.
V The decision was emotional as well. This mom wanted to compensate her teens for the loss of their dad. Of course, things never do replace people. That takes resources from other better possibilities. Further education, stability in housing, and an emergency fund, something everyone needs.
M We say this often. Pause first and then learn much before acting.
