Studying the law

Recent events in our capital have prompted many of us to learn with greater diligence what the laws of our land are, and what the requirements are for charges to be upheld under the law.
We have spent hours listening to news, watching actions in congressional chambers, and listening to experts expound on their understandings of all this.
How many hours are we studying and examining the laws of our land? For what benefit? Consider Psalm 19: 7 ‘the law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul.’
Our countries laws are imperfect though better because they are based on Biblical truths. I’m challenged to spend more time studying God’s word. His laws are more important that those of our country. My freedom is not based on my country. My freedom is based on my being God’s daughter.
