Struggling in the pandemic
December 14, 2020
I’m Miriam Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY, and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money
M This pandemic with its disruptions provide unique opportunities for generosity. The last day before restaurants were shutting down AGAIN, I dined with friends and chatted with our server. Once again, she’d be without income. Her apartment owner granted her time, but other costs would remain.
V We collected all our cash for an additional tip and gave it to her personally.
Another group are hair stylists. They have fewer clients, most are hourly with no benefits. Again, another generous tipping opportunity.
Your area may be different. Surely there are some with unmet needs and anxiety. We consider all that God has entrusted to each of us. That gift can be direct, or anonymous or known. Simply give.
