Stonecutters # 2

I thrive reading the Unlocking the Bible website and lessons from Pastor Colin Smith. Studying stonecutters in the old testament, they were important in building the temple. In the New Testament they are important in building the church. Ephesians 2. Pastor Colin points out that we ‘living stones’ get our rough edges bumped off in the building process. The mess of construction. Loners stay rough. Family, friends, and church polish us. Even through pain. But the result is beautiful.
Thankfully I have stonecutters around me. 4 adult children, their spouses, friends who have rough edges too. But God is building. And I want to be a part of His beauty. Stonecutting and all. Let’s not resist stone cutters in our life, but thank God for them.
