Speaking with anonymity
October 12, 2018
How often does a news piece quote someone who does not want to be identified. Not authorized to speak, but they do. The purpose, their protection. Keeping their job. Promoting a message not theirs, but one they think others should know. Common. We have a better example, a perfect example.
I’m thankful that Jesus spoke for himself. Some times throngs followed, other times he was thrown out. He authorized His disciples to speak for him as well. When he told them not to speak of something, it was because the listener was not ready. He was not hiding his message or protecting a special agenda. After all, he died for his message as did most of his disciples.
Refreshing! Jesus speaks, He has the credentials, the message, the courage to stand with it and die for it.
