Silo Mentality 1

Silo mentality is not a healthy thing.  Businesses practicing it don’t share information with others, diminishing productivity.  The concept is an old one, but still relevant.  Lack of skills and protecting your turf aren’t the cause, though they might appear to be.   Leadership trickling down from the top is the cause.  Jesus’ disciples were a case in point.  He addressed it successfully.  He provided a unified vision and common goal, motivated and led by example, and empowered his disciples to participate in the process.  They gained confidence under his leadership to influence the world to a greater extent than any other 11 men in history.

They participated in miracles and then were dispatched to use that power in other places.  They messed up, were called on their mistakes, and inspired to move up and on.
