Sex trafficking is in the spotlight. There are no easy answers or simple solutions. Some humans are selfish, self-centered, and evil. Others just trying to survive. One the vulture, the other the victim. Because we work with widows in Africa, I see the faces of the victims. Widows, especially young widows in Kenya and other countries as well are forced to sleep with men so they can feed their children. HIV spreads rapidly, poverty still envelops them.
What can we do? Any small step to follow James 1:27 looking after widows and orphans has a huge impact. The protection and provision they lost at the death of their husband, their Dad is softened by the care of the church and other organizations like ours. A skill training program is small, but it’s a beginning.
