Serving from your jar of clay
December 19, 2017
Are you moving toward Christmas day not feeling the energy and joy you wish for? I’m with you on that. My packed fall of international travel and growing ministry here took its toll and I entered this joyful season depleted. I remembered 2 Corinthians 4:7 “But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.”
My travels over bumpy African roads sometimes seemed endless. And to visit one widow in Albania, the last trek was necessary on foot, in the rain. I truly felt how very CLAY I am. And that’s a good thing. That means that any good result will be from God showing up, not me. Yes, in this jar of clay, I embrace Christmas.
