Many of us are getting weary and discouraged by news these days. The focus is sexual. No surprise. Our culture is myopic on sensual, physical, what we condone, condemn, and is politically correct. Our culture gives a different pass to those who are popular and powerful. The spotlight has moved from news figures, to politicians, to religious leaders.
Some blame the #Metoo movement. Remember that at a future day, all of our lives will be on a big screen for all to see and God to decide. Surfacing videos and recording won’t compare. New technology reveals, people finding their voice. God already knows all.
Our first response. Self examination. Lord, examine me. Protect the weak and voiceless as much as the one who had the previously untarnished position.
