M Scripture often talks of seeds and fruit to make a point. We see the story. The corn stalk, walnut tree, spinach leaf. The seed is God’s Word, scattered, we’re the recipients. What do we do with God’s word?
V Mark 4: 18—20 Others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word; but the worries of this life, deceitfulness of wealth, and desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful. Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop—some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown.”
The deceitfulness of riches and desires for other things choke people.God’s plan for us is to grow and thrive.
