Recovering from economic hardship# 2

I’m Miriam  Neff-with and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan with Wise Women Managing Money

M When times of economic hardship come, are there some good outcomes?  Yes.  Research from the recent pandemic fallout shows that many Americans spent less during that time than before.

V Learning to live on less is a valuable lesson.  In recovering days, we find that we are content without all we thought was ‘necessary’ before.  This should mean more margin in our spending plan for other things.  We encourage you to consider what you value.  Education, generosity, family vacation experiences?  Designate that margin now to what you value.

M Unapologetically we encourage generosity.  Christians today give 3% of their income to philanthropic causes including churches. Rather than simply responding to ‘asks’ look, listen, and volunteer. Know how they steward finances. And be generous.
