Real self

These tumultuous days test us, exhaust us, and often show others our weaknesses. It’s hard to be patient and kind when you are on lock down with family, even family we like! If we’re alone, we can be hurt, even angry that others aren’t reaching out. We feel invisible.
Scripture says that God’s mercies are new every morning. I’m thankful! I used up all yesterdays. My prayer is for God to lavish me with new grace and mercy every morning.
And then I pray that I can be gracious and merciful to all I’m in contact with, in person or remotely. More clutter? Grace and mercy. Less contact and fewer hugs? I need to rely on Jesus only for all I need? Grace and mercy. Jesus only.
