Poverty’s temptations

I’m Miriam  Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY, and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money

M Money demands our attention.  We need it to live providing for ourselves and our families.  Money can be distracting.  Proverbs 30: 8, 9 give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, ‘Who is the Lord?’ Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.

V Just as wealth can be dangerous, so can poverty.  Being tempted to steal does not honor Him. Illcit  measures to survive do not honor God either.  Scripture states that we can help the poor.  Help through a crisis is worthwhile.  Creating dependency is not. We are designed to be productive.
