Plugging the leaks

I’m Miriam Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY, and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money
M As Christ followers, we know that a day will come when we stand before God alone, giving account of our life. How did we steward the assets He entrusted to us? Matthew 25. An important perspective.
V Money can be slippery, we call it leaking, it escapes. Plug the leaks. Don’t cosign college loans for children, even grandchildren. You must pay whether they do or not, even when you’re wishing to fund retirement. Cosigning anything, cars, mortgage. The obligation does not go away. Even after the asset is gone.
M Another leak: taking on new debt in your 50’s or 60’s. That’s time to pay down debt, mortgage, credit cards, vehicle. Most important, be content with what you have. Hebrews 13: 5.
