picking the right executor for your will

M Every person should have a will and maybe even a trust. Its simply a way to direct whatever you’ve left on planet earth where you want it to go. One important part is designating an executor or trustee, a person tasked to oversee and execute your wishes.
V Pick someone who is trustworthy, available to act, and competent. They should at least be knowledgable on record keeping and numbers. Common sense is good as is expertise. One family member rather than a team is better. Revisit the choice every few years. Consider your family’s unique situation. People change, divorce and other circumstances happen.
