Perspective

I’m Miriam Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY, and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money.
M When our financial reality is shaking and we realize things must change, its good to step back and get a bit of perspective.
V Our family traveled to the Mathare Valley one of the poorest slums in Kenya to help widows. I remember Nadine, the Christ follower supporting her children, nieces, and nephews in a tiny twelve square feet space, with a small corner for cooking, one pot and sleeping mats. Her real treasure matched ours. Nadine, and I are both wealthy because we have the treasure of Christ.
M A precious lesson when finances change is that contentment is never gained through stuff we own. Gratefully Nadine is now trained in a skill, but she already had Christ. She gave us perspective.
