Out of our element

Life is complex.  I find myself starting projects beyond my personal expertise, knowing my goal but not exactly how to get there.  This is true when I first step in a new African village where I want to help widows and orphans as well as just taking care of my aging living space back home.

Sometimes creatures God has created inspire me.  The world’s largest living reptile, the saltwater crocodile is found on many South Pacific islands.  And he’s a poor swimmer who relies on land for food and water.  Their secret:  they travel when surface currents are available.  They may wait in shelter for days to catch a favorable current.

My lesson:  If it’s God’s project and I’m listening carefully, the current is favorable, full speed ahead.
