Our ‘Prophet’ today

Who has our ear? Are we glued to a specific news channel? What bookmarks do we go to? Who are our Facebook friends? What twitter feeds do we follow? Some call these influencers. We all have them.
In Old Testament times prophets spoke. People listened. Some ignored them, ridiculed them. Queen Zezebel, threatened Elijahs life. This bold prophet ran and hid in a cave. Prophets could hide, but they could not lie.
We are wise to pay attention to who we are hearing, listening to, and following. We are human. They do influence us. Popular does not mean positive truth.
Consider praying and doing a purge of who is influencing you. Unfriend and then be willing to explain. Avoid complainers. Pushing control, alt delete, might be your best move.
