Our national decline

Our country was founded on Judeo-Christian principles. God is often mentioned in founding documents, referring to the value of human life, sexuality, marriage, and other virtues in Scripture.
While far from perfect, slavery being one blemish, our country prospered. And our rejection of slavery ultimately illustrated our commitment to freedom.
By many measures our country is in decline. Theories abound. The Covid -19 pandemic and lockdowns, violence. National leaders at logger heads. For my part, I do not recognize my country.
One cause is clear. We have abandoned God and his directives. Men and women created differently at conception, equal in value. Marriage and purity guidelines, fair and honest business practices. Work ethic. God’s directives.
Today those guilty of evil are exempt from punishments. The Old Testament illustrates God’s blessing moves from his people who disobey. We need to repent and return.
