Necessary Endings

I’m thankful for Dr. Henry Cloud’s book, Necessary Endings. He identifies people in our lives as wise, foolish, and evil. More importantly, he gives us practical tools for dealing with evil people–a needed topic in today’s world. Frequently the only solution for that relationship with an evil person is to end it. No open door to the future, no wish-wash or waffle. Yes, this is your personal protection from that person. Just as important is that the person is firmly in God’s hands for teaching and hopefully change. That necessary ending tells God that we believe He is a greater change agent than we are, and is more competent and even caring than we are!
If you’re in such a relationship, read his book and remember, sometimes Jesus walked away.
