Multi-generational living

I’m Miriam  Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY,-and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money

M  A growing trend in housing is multi-generational living.  One quarter lived with three or more in 1940.  That declined to 12 % in 1980.  2016 showed that trend growing again

Reasons: saving money for a home down-payment, marital upheaval, launching on ones own, assistance as parents age, job uncertainties in your location.

V  Mom, you’ve experienced that since Dad went to Heaven.  Three of your four children have moved back ‘for a season.’  Advantage two families in one place, one price.  Advice, talk early and often rather than reacting to a crisis.  And actually save that money.

M I can promise that EVERYONE will need to compromise.  Grace and mercy, new and needed every day.
