Miriam in Scripture

My namesake in Scripture is Miriam, sister to Aaron and Moses.  Prophetess, leader, overseer of baby brother, Moses in the river, present at his birth and death.   Her story is colorful.  After singing with her people the first song recorded in Scripture in Exodus 15, she leads the women with her tambourine singing and dancing too. She neither married or had children.

When she sinned and suffered, her people loved her, were loyal and would not move on without her.

I’m not bold like her, nor could I be a lead dancer.  But I would like to praise God as she did and continually thank Him.  Yes, she had failings aplenty, but she praised God well.
