Memorial Day # 2

With Memorial Day coming, I’m encouraging folks to spend time reflecting on why we mark this day for parades, grilling and waving flags.
We’re remembering. Having traveled widely, we have more to be grateful for, fewer fears, more freedoms and more comforts than most people on this planet. It is not due to preachers, newspaper reporters, lawyers, business persons, advocates for freedom of speech, or politicians.
Remember and give thanks to our military, our veterans, those who have fought for what we have today. Were it not for them, we would be living quite differently. Imperfect for sure, our country offers freedoms like no other.
Remember also, that the foundation this has been built on is the truth that God is our Creator, the one in whom true freedom is found.
